The Creed
The Creed gathers the central truths Christians profess about God, creation, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Church, forgiveness, resurrection and eternal life. It is both a summary of faith and a guide for deeper study.
The Sacraments
The seven sacraments are Baptism, Confirmation, the Eucharist, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders and Matrimony. Catholic life is especially centred on the Eucharist, where the Church gathers for the celebration of Mass.
Scripture, Tradition and Prayer
Catholic teaching reads Sacred Scripture within the living faith of the Church. Personal prayer, the Liturgy of the Hours, the Rosary, Eucharistic adoration and the Church’s public worship all help form a life of discipleship.
Christian Moral Life
Catholic moral teaching calls believers to love God and neighbour, protect human dignity, seek justice, practise mercy and form conscience through prayer, Scripture and the Church’s teaching.
